So sorry Bridgette. I know how that feels. I lost one two days ago, a 2 day old, and it looks as though it may have been pasty butt that I missed. It's vent was crusty, but I couldn't see it as much as I could feel it, on it's wee parts.

I noticed it after the fact. Now I'm feeling and looking twice a day.

Thanks guys. Its weird that you can get attatched to them so quickly. I thought it was doing better. It seems to start eating finally, wasn't as wobbly on its feet as it had been and was drinking. I checked its butt at least 2 times a day. When I found it, it was first thing in the morning and I was changing their water to fresh and whatnot and like 5 of the other chicks were standing on its poor little body.
