    Hello Everyone,

    I need your help.
My hen just hatched two baby chicks and is still sitting on a few more that haven't hatched yet.
She acts perfectly healthy and fine, but I noticed some dark greenish stuff (I think from her crop) in the nest around the nest bedding. It smells awful !!!
I feel like I should clean the nest but I'm afraid I'll disturb the hen and she'll abandon the nest or the chicks could get a chill, etc.
This is my first experience with hatchlings from a hen.
I'm sooo afraid of doing something wrong :(
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank You,

Hi. I can't say for sure but maybe one of the eggs under her was rotten and has exploded hence the mess! Whatever it is needs to be cleaned up right away so as not to contaminate eggs/chicks/hen! I might be wrong about the rotten egg though!

    Thank you !

Going out there now to clean as much as I can.
They seemed to all be doing well earlier today.
Crossing fingers they all grow up big and strong with a healthy Mamma :)
