Possible sinus infection or more ?

I have photos and I just saw that post after I posted last night. Thanks Wyorp Rock !

I'm going to ring the vet as soon as they're open to see what to do next. I'm not sure if we have those drops in Australia, but I will ask the vet too !

Please excuse her messy face as she is having porridge for breakfast :D

Swollen eye:

Good eye:
Bless her heart

I'm glad she's eating her porridge!

Her eye is foamy for sure. It could be from a respiratory illness like Mycoplasma, but without testing there's no way to know for sure. Having the vet test a sample would be a good idea, hopefully they can get you the correct meds.

Please keep us posted.

Sally has been vaccinated for Mycoplasma so hopefully it's not that !

I have booked an appointment with an avian specialist vet for Tuesday morning, so lets see what they have to say!

Okay, so we went to the vet today and they did a swab test and have now put her on the following:
1. 250mg amoxycillin / clavulanic acid tablet twice a day for 7 days.
2. 25mg enrofloxacin tablet twice a day for 7 days.

The vet said that these would be the best antibiotics for the results on the swab test.

I didn't like the thought of having to try and convince her to take the tablets, so I hid the big one in a cherry tomato and the little one in some bread and she just swallowed them, no problem ! No catching her and wrapping her up in a towel while trying to open her beak !!

I'm glad you were able to see the vet.

Good idea on hiding the meds in food
