Songster
I found my 2 favorite silkies, about 3 months old, dead in the nesting area by the roost. I can’t find any punctures but their necks were covered in dry saliva. Could a snake have tried to swallow it and spit it out? And then would it try again? It just seems a little weird to me.
never seen that before, i don't know what a snake attack would look like, but it would make sense that there are no puncture holes in it because they kill by constriction. So my say would be a black rat snake.
