Hi
I noticed today my novo brown chicken was very slow and lethargic. I’ve checked her over and there is no obvious signs. Her crop did feel a little squishy so I massaged it, gave water via a syringe and then put its head down and massaged the crop from bottom to top, it brought up some very smelly green gritty paste, vile. I have given her yoghurt since which she has taken. 2 hours after the massaging she has had a poo which is like watery grass. Is this the crop emptying? Is there anything else I should do?

Try giving ACV (Apple cider vinegar) in their wate (1 tsp per gallon) for or a few days.
My hen was acting similarly, lethargic with a slight ly squishy crop. Giving her ACV water helped perk her up tremendously, and it helps with healthy gut bacteria.

Thank you, I’ve just sent my husband out to get some.

It sounds like the egg is the problem. It needs to come out without breaking further, if possible. I might try a warm Epsom salt bath. It can be tricky. Try to look up how others have done it successfully.
