Hi everyone!

One of our babies was ill, so we took her to the vet. They gave her an antibiotic shot and some fluids. Then asked for her to come back today for another antibiotic shot. She had been doing SO good after her trip to the vet at the end of last week. Then today, when I take her up there, they took her in back, gave her shot and off we went. I noticed that she flopped to her side a little in the car (in a cat carrier) I thought maybe she's just scared. Well, I get her home and out of the box, now her right foot is hurting her. She will hardly put any pressure on it and wants to lay down all the time.
We aren't sure what we can do for her. I called the vet and told them what happened, they said it could be a side effect from the antibiotic, but she is still limping quite a bit.
Any suggestions on what we can do for her?
Thank you!

Without knowing what your chicken is ill from and why she needs an antibiotic or how old she is, it could be anything from a slight twist of her leg while being transported to becoming symptomatic from Marek's.

Did you have a slip-proof surface such as a towel in the crate when she was riding to and from the vet? Or was she sliding around madly at every turn in the road and bump over pot holes?

It was most likely a bit twisted in the ride. I would ask the vet about her leg.
