Good morning!
I got some eggs from a local breeder that are now on day 18. One egg has been strange since the beginning. I candled them all at day 7, and they all looked normal except for this one. It was alive and there were obvious veins, but it looked a lot further along, I'd origially guessed around day 15, so I assumed that one of her hens had been setting on it and she didn't noticed. Well fast-forward to today, ALL of the eggs including that one have been in my incubator, and it still hasn't hatched. I candled them all today, and it IS still alive. There are still obvious veins, not a "death ring". There is a lot more black-space in this egg, though, than the others, and less movement. I'm wondering if there's a possibility that it was a double yolker, and there are twins? I'm assuming if there were twins there wouldn't be very much room for movement, so that may be why I don't see as much movement in this one as the others? I watched a youtube video on hatching twins and see that it IS possible, just rare. What do you think?
THANKS
