Was watching the hatch, & as soon as it came out - I noticed red tissue at the vent area ! It's less than an hour old . What can I Do to successfully help this chick?

I have had one that had unabsorbed yolk sack & this is red tissue - is it ok to get it out of incubator? Antibiotic ointment (no pain relief) is the correct thing to use ? It's my 2nd hatchling of my 1st hatching . I appreciate your willingness & quick responses! Thank you!Welcome to BYC. Could that be an unabsorbed yolk sac or the navel/umbilicus? See if you can locate the tail and see if the vent is clear. You can apply some Betadine to a yolk sac to help it dry up, or some antibiotic ointment or vaseline to a prolapse.
