Hi there, I found one of my chickens standing in the run today just looking at the ground. I watched her for a bit and decided to bring her into our garage to keep an eye on her and make sure she was eating and drinking. I added some garlic and herbs to her food. But her head keeps falling forward like she can't hold it up. It looks like she's going to sleep but when she wakes up her head just drifts down again.

Is this wry neck or is there something else that would cause this? She's 5 months old and is normally my most active and curious chicken, so it's so sad to see her like this. 😭

Thanks! I'm still not sure that's what she has, but I'll try the vit E and selenium. I find it hard to believe she would be deficient in vit E though because it lists natural sources that are high in it and one is sunflower seeds. I give my chickens a handful of those pretty much every day. Along with herbs and greens from my garden a few times a week and their feed has vitamins added... Maybe she has some parasite or something that's making it hard for her to absorb those nutrients. 🤷‍♀️

I had a serious case of wry neck with one of my pullets . I thought she was going to die she was so sick and happened so suddenly . I picked up selenium with vit E and used it twice daily for 3 weeks . She was like a new bird within 4 days !!
