Possibly Egg Bound and Crop impacted.... Pea Green Mucus Poop

Well she has not eaten all day except for a tablespoon of yogurt and her crop is still full and mushy. Still feels like sand.... Oh she just came out to get another bite and pooped a little normal ish poop. With just a tinge of the green on top but mostly mushy brown. Wonder if that's progress.... Hmmmmm.

She may actually be eating more than you think. If she's eating when you aren't looking her crop will stay full. I would take her food overnight & see if her crop is empty in the morning. If it's still full then, it could be sour or impacted crop.

She didn't have any food by her today that is how I know she only ate a little yogurt. And her crop was the same tonight as it was this morning. So I'm guessing crop issue.... Now what to do for her.

Okay so this morning her crop was still full but not mushy like last night .... It was harder. She seemed perkier and she had pooped 4 or so times during the night. Brown poops not the bright green watery ones but when she came out to eat this morning she pooped a 1/2 green & brown one again...... She ate yogurt and I mixed in some olive oil.... I massaged her crop. I had to leave her for work again today .... So I guess I'll just hope for the best.....

Any other thoughts????

My only real advice would be to try to hold her upside down & massage the contents of her crop out if you think there is an issue with her crop. It's the only way to find out...& also the only cure.

I thought I would post a long over due followup!! It turns out that she broke her keel bone flying off my deck to the lower patio a long way down while my father was "watching" her... He neglected to tell me she landed hard.

Anyways, she went to the vet who did not diagnose her correctly ... I massaged her crop a few times a day and gave her a little oil & yogurt. Her crop finally cleared and as she healed she started to feel better. I was holding her one night and realized she had a huge zig zag on her breast bone. I called the vet to ask if they actually bothered to look at her xrays (I mean HOW DO YOU MISS THAT??) ... Umm yep she broke her keel. Oh and the vet told me that a rock hard crop after not eating for a few days was normal... Needless to say I will not be going back there EVER!
