I posted last weekend about an egg bound pullet, but she has a few issues. I've finally gotten some good pictures and would like to know if this is normal, or if she's sick. Our vet told us $115 to check her out, so that's a last resort. The Partridge Rock 10 mo pullet had a bit of a messy backside, so we brought her in to clean her up. She laid 2, possibly 3 eggs in a 10 hour period. We gave her some epsom salt baths to help clean up her fluff by the vent and when she seemed to be eating and drinking normally, thought we'd put her outside for a bit. This is what happened on that morning. The picture is of her fluff and vent. The poo is rather clear and very much like liquid. It would explain why I didn't see any normal poo shaped droppings in her kennel. I have looked for poo to examine, but don't really find any, yet the shavings are wet.
She seems to drink a lot, and she is eating, but honestly, I thought she'd be eating more. I tossed a thumb size piece of lettuce to her today and she took it, I consider that a good sign. Is there anything else I should be looking for? Anything I can do to help her?
Her eyes seem bright and clear, her comb and waddles are a nice bright red, she's alert and when I put her outside, she's very happy scratching and running around the yard. Right now, I do keep her away from my flock in case she's sick. But she does have a cockerel that is nearly blind due to cataracts. They seem to get along great when they aren't arguing over who gets to roost by the water bowl.

Has she resumed laying normal eggs?

I would clean her up. Check to make sure her crop is emptying overnight, look her over for lice/mites. If these aren't an issue and she's bright, alert, eating/drinking on her own and able to interact well with the flock, I would put her back with the flock and observe.

Give her 1 Calcium tablet a day for 3-5 days to help build her back up a bit.
It's not uncommon for a hen to have some glitches.

Getting a fecal float to see if worms may be part of the problem can be a useful too as well.

She has not resumed laying eggs. I put a small amount of parsley and oregano in the water this morning so I'm hoping that will help. She had access to oyster shells while in the coop, I'll add some to her food as long as she's in her kennel. I'll monitor her to see how much she eats, take away the food tonight to make sure her crop is empty. If nothing else, I'll look at the calcium tablets to make sure she can build back up.

I did check for mites no visible sign, but she's difficult It was so bitter cold last week (I'm in colorado) and yet she was inside, so it's not out of the question. I'll check again.

We did give her 4 or 5 warm water Epsom salts baths after laying the 3 eggs over night. Not sure if that would help any more other than to help release the poo from her fluff. Thanks
