possum caught in the act, sort of

just set the trap baited with his favorite chicken feed
only took two nites
hopefully he is the only one

Must be possum time! I went out 2 nights ago when I got home after dark to feed and gather the eggs. I have a pet taxi that has no door that I use as a nest box on the floor for the girls who like to lay there. Well, thank goodness I have lights and that I always look before I reach in because there was a possum in there! I picked up the carrier possum and all a took him out. Yesterday I was home so I did chores before dark then went to the gym. When I got back he was back. So I chased him out. I borrowed a trap and caught him last night. Now what?

Kill him! if you don't he'll be back. Relocating doesn't do much either. Especially racoons cause they have large home ranges. Best bet is either call wildlife control or dispatch him. I just went through this (with a coon) and do not hesitate to make a coons skin hatch when i have the chance. Good Luck!
