Possum Drop 2010! Pics I wasn't joking! :)

I went to a small town celebration one time that did a turkey drop. They actually dropped live turkeys from an airplane. They were about half grown and they glided down pretty good. If you could catch one you got to keep it. After the drop kids were running around everywhere chasing turkeys.

I drove through Tallapoosa when I got lost on the way to Bargain's place. What a pretty little town! The old homes are gorgeous! There isn't much architecture where we live, so it was a nice place to stumble upon

Sounds like a lot of fun. I have to admit my mental picture was WAY different until I started reading through the thread!

Make your own hun. I'll tell you the secret as I learned it from some elderly proper southern ladies.
Bring a quart of water to almost a boil. Do not let it come to a boil. Wait until bubbles just start rising to the surface from the bottom of the pot. Turn off the heat and add 4 family sized tea bags. Use a southern brand of tea bags like Luzianne, not Lipton. Let it steep half an hour, even longer if you prefer.
Add up to 2 cups of sugar to a 1 gallon pitcher. I prefer one cup of sugar, DH likes two

After steeping add your tea from the pot to the pitcher of sugar and stir till the sugar is melted. Then add water to make a gallon.
Let it come to room temperature before refrigerating.
I can't stress enough how important it is not to let the water come to a boil. Boiling the water is what makes the tea turn bitter.

I sometimes make tea syrup, which comes in handy in a family of heavy sweet tea drinkers.

About the OP. Arkansas has Toad Suck Daze in the town of...yep...Toad Suck, Arkansas.
