Post abscess removal

I finally got one scab off of one toe. No pus but there was a very small kernel. Thought I’d see more but there was a little “pit” in the middle of the wound. It looked like healthy tissue. My question is, as the toe is healing after dressing changes and another scab forms, do you keep removing the scabs until the wound heals up?

Once you've cleaned out the pus and a new thin flat scab forms, you leave it alone to commence healing the rest of the way. If it instead develops a thick black scab again with obvious inflammation, then you need to start the treatment all over again.
