Are they winter hardy?

It's kind of a mixed answer there. Some people's silkie's do fine in the winter but some just one by one drop dead. My silkie's don't do well in the winter but luckily I haven't had any of mine die. I let them out whenever I think its warm enough for them. I feel the ground to see if it's too cold for them. But if it rains or snows I don't let them out at all.

If they have nice blue earlobes, walnut combs, blue skin, dark brown eyes, big head tuft, nice puffy tail feathers, feathers on their feet, five toes on each foot, and silkie feathers They are show quality... I enjoy this too
