I once found one sort of curled up inside the trap. He was definitely longer than the trap when stretched out.

Hope so! Maybe I'm exaggerating how big these raccoons are, because when you're face to face with any wild animal, they always seem bigger than they really are. But my guess is that they're simply too stocky and fat to squeeze in there. Oh jeez, i just realized I messed up in setting the bait for such a large animal. Off to fix it I go.
