I have 32 chicks right now. 11 hatched on the 28th and 15 hatched on Dec 24th and 6hatched on Dec 15. All of mine are Silkies or Sizzles.

I just ordered my first chicks!!! (From Ideal) I already have 3 RIR/EE roos and 3 RIR pullets.

We are getting:

5 Ameraucana
2 Mottled Java
2 RI White
2 Partridge Chantecler

My friend ordered 1 of each, so I can hardly wait to see what kind of packing peanuts we get...assuming we get some. We live near Dallas, TX, so they don't have to far to go.

These are our FIRST chicks. I'm so excited!

I could barely sleep Thursday night when we placed the order! They're supposed to ship February 25. It's going to be a LONG month...

My chickens are supposed to be delivered the week of February 16th. I keep adding to it, so I hope the ship date comes soon or I'll really be overrun with chicks!

So far i'm supposed to have delivered in February:

25 Rhode Island Reds

3 Rose Comb Brown Leghorns
1 Barred Rock
2 Araucanas
2 Black Australorps

1 Free 'rare' chick

For a total of 67 (if they all survive the trip and there are no packing peanuts). I'm so excited.... it feels like Christmas when I was a kid!

I'm waiting on 2 BLRW and 3 BO/RIR eggs to hatch today...five more BO/RIR due to hatch on the 3rd...I started out w/6 BLRW but two were clear, 2 got smelly and now I'm really hoping these last two will hatch today!

The BO/RIR crosses are from my favorite roo, Brewster and my RIR hen Peppermint Patty, last hatch I got one cockerel and one pullet who are now 1 month old They should be some very nice mannered birds, the two are a bit darker than the BO's but not by much, will be taking pics today after I clean their cage.

My chicks will hatch on Feb 16th. I ordered them from Clemson University's poultry farm. Since they only sell straight run, I doubled my order. They probably set more than the 20 I ordered. I will take whatever hatches!
