POST MORTEM on My Dear Sunny, **GRAPHIC PICS**

And please don't feel too badly, as fatty hens do have problems, just as we humans don't feel so well when the weight is put on and stays on:( Life is a learning experience and we must continue to learn to do things better, with experience, we can...Hugs

My condolences to you :aww You were very brave to do that autopsy to try to find out what was wrong with Sunny.

My condolences to you for Sunny. I have a beautiful Sunny, too. We also had to know what we could find out when Lacy passed suddenly and I'm glad we did our laymen's autopsy. It helps to at least have a clue about it. What helps also is to see what was right with the bird as well as what was wrong.

Sorry for your loss of Sunny. I also did a post mortem on the first pullet I lost and didn't see anything that looked abnormal. My Sally was slowly dying and I knew it was time. Even if we didn't find anything visually wrong, we did the right thing by stopping the suffering.
