Post Phoenix Pics Please

I don't know where white Phoenix usually have come from, but in chickens generally, Recessive white can pop up in birds of almost any color.
White plymouth rocks are a common recessive white bird. Two Barred Plymouth Rocks which carry the gene can produce a white chick.
If your silver birds both carry the "c" recessive white gene one would expect 25% white chicks over the long haul.

That might explain it. I run a mixed flock of other birds but I am pretty sure this girl is a Phoenix but all white. The only other bird I have that is white is a silkie and I know she didn't come from that.

I need to get a pic and post.

A dominant white bird bred to silver could also get you a white. Dominant white only turns the black feathers white. So a white laced Red Cornish, a white tailed red sexlink, or a red pyle bred to a silver bird would get you white. Usually heterozygous dominant white shows a few flecks of the other colors. Just thinking, you say you have a mixed flock.

Here is what I have:

Daddy and one potential Mom (I have 5 silver hens.)

Potential Mom #2

Potential Moms #3.

Pretty sure this pullet did not come from #2 or #3.

The white chick is the pullet in question in June. I need a current pic.
