Johnn, Is this pic of Bella better? Did you say you use your cell phone? Pixels do not travel well. If you took pics with lets say a 12 mp camera like my Panasonic Lumix, I can blow up my pics about 50% with clarity. The other thing I found is that Picassa and Flickr don't degrade your pictures as much as Ph.....bu...t It all depends on how much the pic is shrunk to send and then unshrink when it gets there. Some of your pics are super clear and sharp. What did you do different on those?

A bit but its still not as clear as they are on Facebook. I usually copy and paste them over from there now because it makes them a bit better. I don't use the BYC upload anymore because it makes them even worse than copying them over does...

I'm glad you told me about the upload. There's a photography thread in here somewhere, I should ask how they get their posted pics to remain crisp.

You have some Stunning pics here on this thread. Did you do anything different on them?

In some of your pics, seems sometimes like there's other stuff in the pic that's clearer than the chicken. Do you have a portrait or flower setting ? Then it can be aimed at the chicken and only the chicken will be clear:

Oops, here's my last Orpington. Clarence. A hen laid an egg in my car on the way home. I put it in the fridge, then my friend told me it was probably fertile, so I hatched it. A few years later, if you can see that his pupil is oval, that was a sign of Marek's and he died a month later. I'm glad I had hatched him. He was a really good rooster. But Johnn, you're right. These pics are even better than when posted here.

I think my phone has a setting that blurs out anything that its not focusing on, but I'm not sure. All the pic are taken in the same way and thanks!
