THATS IS SO CUTE!!!

Just to let you all know, my girls came under attack today and Bella was hurt the most. She has had a chunk taken out of her side and skin is hanging off. Vets refuse to stich as the anesthetic will kill her apparently. I have rinsed it off with Hibbiscrub and put some anti spetic spray on her. Will keep her locked in tomorrow just to rest it and allow it to start scabbing over. She managed to keep her chick safe through it all and she put up a good fight as there is feathers EVERYWHERE! Anyways, I hope she is strong enough to pull through this. I think her chick is whats keeping her going.
Noooooooo! Poor girl, she is so beautiful!

fingers crossed she gets better

BELLA UPDATE: I wasn't supposed to be going up till 9 tonight as no one could take me, but I really wanted to go so on the way home from college I asked tole taxi to stop on the side of the road and I got out and walked to the hens as they weren't far from there. I went to see Bella and her wound is deeper than I originally thought. She was eating mealworms when I give them and when I picked her up she went mental and nearly escaped from my hands! I'm sorry I couldn't get a better pic but I had her in one hand and my phone in the other. Mams getting them sterri strips for tonight but I'm not sure if they will work on something so deep. BTW her wound is bigger, her feathers are just covering the other half of it

Hi all! I just wanted to meet everyone. I got my first Orp a couple weeks ago. She's hatchery stock ordered though mypetchicken (Meyer hatchery i think). I have wanted an Orp for a long time so in Dec I put my order in and waited for what seemed like forever. I ordered 1 blue in my batch of 4 chicks. So far she is crazy loud. HATES being picked up and screeches bloody murder getting louder and louder until you put her down. I am starting work on socializing them so hopefully she gets better over time. She is huge, an absolute monster lol. She has become the companion of the little silkie I got in the batch which I'm very thankful for because I'm hoping the Orp will be a bit of a protector for the silkie when they get merged with the older girls. Here's River!!!

River a few days old

around 2 weeks with her little silkie buddy, Bunny.

you should try to get a vet to super glue it shut... requires no anesthetic
