I am jealous at the list of Shows you are going to BUFFBEAUTY. your right, the Buffs are on their way back to popularity. Thanks in part to their sweet disposition and size, and I don't know about you out there who have any, mine never did stop laying thru the summer. truelly a wonderful variety. Same with the Blacks. The hens in with FERAN didn't stop either. One is a Bamma girl and the other two are from my original Blacks I got last spring. GREAT LAYERS ^ nice to see you out there impressing the poultry fanciers.
I hope to show here for the Lebanon IN, then hopefully the Ohio nationals. At the Ohio show I will not bring as many. Since I still have to go home each day and feed the heard. Easily a 6 hour round trip. I am still hatching out only Blacks and Blues. And soon will be doing my Buffs. I just had my first pullet egg from the newest generation of Buffs off this line below. I will be showing their Daddy here.
Now she is up and laying, she and her sis's will be isolated with the Buff cockerel on the left. That is how I do it here. And then choose which pens I want to hatch from.
This will be generation 3 off the original pair, the cock I bought last spring for $6.
My $6 Buff line lololol
