Nice trio! Nice even color. Looks like some nicer tails. Hard to say with a side view how broad, but they look good size for 7 month oles and should do well in making some great Buff Orp chicks for you.
CONGRATS!!

My 2 Buff Orpingtons when they were new babies. They grow up so fast.

My girls are getting so big! I didn't realize how big orpington get beforei got them. Next time I might get bantam orps.

Last four days this Black grow out pen has been hit by either Racoons or I believe a Mink. TONITE, I am up
"LOCKED~N~LOADED"
waiting for Mr. Predator. I went thru, and totally blocked all holes. I pulled out KORgo, who is the only real Black I can not replace. But, lost at least three stellar pullets, and one that I know of super nice Black cockerel.
Another had his kneck chomped on and lived. He is in a cage to get back on his feet. He is very similar to this boy.

So sorry Bill. I saw a family of coons crossing the road tonight. Mama's are on the move with their youngsters or giving them the boot this time of year and aggression gets high. These cold nights surely got them moving. I would recommend traps to catch those snarly buggers.

Seven gone, 15 still in there. And five or so should be culled out. Just part of the game. I am glad I did use evreyone till they stopped laying. I have another 20 Blacks ready to go in ONCE the death toll is done. And the big black cock is now outta reach.
I am just happy I saved one Black cockerel who was nice. Loose one saved one. SO FAR! lol

Set some traps! I lost my whole flock recently it was terrible because I am not at home to help out with them I am at college. Now I don't own a single chicken!

Thank you all for the kind thoughts. Julie I am lucky to not loose any of those I shown. Their still in one of my portable pens till this is over and I catch it and remove it from the area. I am moving the whole flock out and putting in less wanted breed, my Marans. LATE last nite my best killer dog and I went out, and Pockets ran it off. It was a Mink for sure. I am setting Live traps. This critter is coming between 2 and 3am. I just have to move out the goods and move in the bait. and wait.

I do have my 3 and 4 batches out in the safety of the Cuckoo pen. I held some back in this pen for these guys but now I am glad I did keep a few with a dark eye. Plus all lite eyes go Cuckoo.
