Thanks Cindy!!

Indeed it is Cheryl. You should really enjoy the buffs. They are my favorites here.

I'm interested in the news show you did too. Is there a link to view?

Yeah The Today Show came to the house and interviewed Rob & family, then me and then the girls!!

It was 4+ hours of taping that will be whittled down to 3 1/2 minutes. THEY LOVED OPRAH!!!!!

Well they flew in from NYC last night, arrived around noon today - left around 4:30 They interviewed Rob and family here and then me and all the girls. BIG hit, very fun and exhausting. We took flip video of the interviews. 4 hours of interviews and film will become 3 1/2 minutes. They think editing and they may interview another or two families will take about 2-3 weeks and they will give us a heads up when it airs.

I went crazy at the 11th hour (30 minutes before they were to arrive) Relized it was the lunch hour and I had not planned a finger-type lunch, snacks of anything

So I whipped up some deviled eggs (only to find out she is allergic to mayo) - so does that mean she is allergic to egg yolks, lemon juice and olive oil?? go figure

I put some orange slices in a water pitcher with rooster glasses, some pistachios I had on the counter and that had to make them happy. Well fortunately they had gone to Starbucks prior to arriving and the good New Yorkers they are, probably had a treat before coming.

Some eye-candy, one week old little sebright on our eggs! A shot from the day...

It was really pretty great because I have 3 incubators full, an extremely full brooder with 1-4 week olds and of course the ladies and the 4 english BBS orps (they really didin't care about them )

Rob and family were able to have a wonderful session holding and feeding the girls (which of course the girls were happy to be stars- and in fact I think they really were THE STARS in the end)
All in all, very nice people that learned a lot about keeping chickens..Jenna (wolfe) even held one. Rob & family had to leave, but they really wanted to say they had eaten one of our amazing eggs. I did over-easy so they could really taste how creamy and delicious the yolks are. They ooooed and awwweed but who knows if they could really taste the difference as we didin't have a comparison. I just pointed out high bright and dark the yolk was and the yolk so firm. They said is was one of the nicest interviews they've had.

It was easy, comfortable and fun

Sorry off topic...back to the orps...

sorry another off-topic but you guys are the best-of-the-best breeders IMO, I was going to purchase the APA standards book for my new breeding program of Coronation Sussex & SPPR but I see the last update is 2001...can that be true, that it hasn't been updated for 9 years?

Yes, that is the correct version currently, but as buffbeauty said a new one is in the works and coming soon.
