Post Pics Of Orps/ Orpingtons HERE

Think of it this way...

In a few years (3-4) the market will be so flooded with the new Orpington colors, you'll be able to get a pair for $50.

Remember the "sticker prices" of Coronation Sussex and the Marans varieties when they were shiney and new?

Justuschickens59, I have to agree with Jeremy. I guess someone has to initially pay the big prices but I would rather wait till the prices come down.

And what my buddy Jeremy has to say makes a lot of sense.

Jeremy - I'm always preaching "patience" to you, but I dont' seem to be following my own advice, do I?

Oh Joy, just because I said it... doesn't mean that I'm going to "practice what I preach" about said patience! I love me some pretty Orpingtons... all that fluff tends to cloud my vision and make the dollar signs disappear...

LOL!

Your words have taught me to be a bit more sound minded.

I think everyone just needs to look at all sides if the equation, whatever it may be. Never forget to weigh all of your options!

Are the BBS Orpingtons just like the Buffs as far as laying well and being extremely broody? I have Buffs but this BBS are beautiful as well.

Patience begins as soon as the chick pops out. Then the guessing game begins. Is this chick going to make it or be culled.
Here is one who is riding the borderline of going to cull city. He is a fence fighter. And tried to take on DOC the Bamma old line Blue cock who is a legit 12 lbs bird. DOC thoroughly corrected the last attempt by a now deceased Speckled Sussex.
To preserve DeBussy's life I moved him inside for now till I decide IF he is worth keeping.

Lacing and tails...I take lots of pictures like this, in an attempt to take better ones, too bad they're only interested in the food I've thrown on the ground for them.

A blurry picture of Alice, my favorite pullet, her lacing is crisp and well defined in person. She's beautiful.
