that is just adorable that they all get on your lap like that!!! too cute
Thanks Aveca, they are just the sweetest birds ever. But I wanted to complement you on your birds as they are just GORGEOUS! The way their color sheens (for the lack of a better word) in the light. This was also a huge factor for me in picking the Black Australorp as I love the stark black color with the green/blue sheen that reflects off the feathers. I had saw a picture of some BA's on line here and was immediately in love with the breed on the color alone! Keep up the good work on your birds and good luck on the show circuit!
dont you just have such fun with this? i I love every minute of it..that australorp rooster has the darkest metalic green in his wing feathers and tail , mostly wings..the whole wing is just like a shiney new car when the light hits him..he is molting right now , so by fall he should be ready to show..we give him lots of dandy lions and greens and he gets hard boiled eggs with sometimes a little hamburg mixed in cause he cant go roaming for juicy buggs AND HIS OWN GREENS due to lot of fox and fisher cats and coyotes..not sure how the coyotes got here , they only showed up here a few years aGO.
