My Mottled Black Orpington. Or we hope he will be. He is a purebred Black Orpington out of my Carlos Jr pen. From Cyrus son of a Carlos.

Even though here on BYC, Orpingtons are sorta common, at the Shows it is a different game. At the Gateway Show here in Bloomington IN, there was only 6 LF Orpingtons. Only 3 exhibitors of LF Orpingtons. I am lucky to have some birds from one of these breeders. And hope to get some eggs at the Columbus IN show on May 1st from him as well. But, to find any quality nowadays is not easy.
Thanks AVECA for the encouraging words. Little KORnelius is moving right along. I like to keep pics to refer back to for my birds progress. I am still very new to chickens. An tend to forget how fast these little guys develope. And taking picsis the best way to compare father to son.

Grand Champion Junior Show, Eldorado AR was a Buff Orpington male by Kaylee Gabbot of DeQueen AR.

There were LF: 2 Buff males, 2 Buff females; Bantams: 2 Buff males; 2 Buff females, trio (?) Blacks; trio (?) Blues.
