lildinkem....thought you might like to see this...Here is the english federal national champion 06/07..in england..
hurk, and his ladies..looks like the perfect orpington. when he turns sideways he presents a perfect round under profile like he was formed in a bowl..man hes the best thing Ive ever seen you can see where they added cochin a ways back but kept the orpington look. , there is a lot of bird under all of those feathers..

I sorta go for the birds inbetween these UK fluffballs and the old school harder and stiffer feathered Orps. About the best Orps I ever seen were shown in Bloomington this past spring by Doug Akers. They were big with perfect tail that did flop around in the wind. Perfect Buff color. Long backed and very wide. I am very much looking forward to Crossroads where alot of folks will be there with their APA and UK style Orps. And really want to see and compare size. MANY MANY folks think their Orps are massive. And I know better. I have seen MASSIVE been to Doug's farm and know what they have to compete against. I consider Doug and his opinion of who are the best the ones to look out for. Which is Tony Ewert's Buffs. And will be there with my camera popping off alot of pics.

I think I posted these before....but I don't think anyone saw them

I'm trying to decide which one to keep (I have 6 pullets/hens, so I don't want/need to keep both roos).

My English BBS babies today, the 5 older chicks hatched on the 22nd of August and the 3 younger chicks hatched on the 27th. They've grown so much.

I'm pretty sure this baby is from my hen Elizabeth, she looks almost identical to her.
