I will be saying prayers for ya too!!! Nothing better than a well quality blue and getting awesome lacing!!!!

Thanks Beth! The lacing on the English Blues is pretty spectacular, just as soon as they start sprouting feathers you can see the pattern and it only gets more crisp and clearly defined with age. I love that about these birds. I'm seeing an improvement in lacing on my cockerels growing out this year too, I'm hoping they'll have good well defined lacing on their chests.

Thanks Aveca!!!! Yes the girls were too cute with big smiles and blue ribbons. That's what makes doing this sooo awesome, seeing a child smile

Not that I needed them, but I swapped some marans for a young trio of hinkjc lav projects. The pics don't do this roo justice- he is so nice and wide! Can't wait til they are out of quarantine so I can get some proper pictures.

I know this thread is for pictures, but am I expecting too much for my 7 month old pullets to start laying ? What is the norm for Orpingtons, these are my first?

they probaly wont lay till the spring unless you get a light in the coop.an i dont suggest that in the colder areas they need to use there food for heat an not eggs.
