Thank you Jeremy! The black rooster does have some english blood. I enjoy the english and I also enjoy the more typical apa type, but I especially enjoy mixing them!
I need to get to an APA show and see how they are measuring up

One of my favorite black hen, hard to see in this photo but she has the biggest eyes I have ever seen on a Orpington.

A few pictures of my big Black Orp Thelma, who is usually very hard to get a good shot of and my favorite Blue hen Alice, she's just finishing her molt and hasn't completely "fluffed" up yet.

A few of the juvies I have growing out.

The Blues seem to already have pretty distinct lacing, as they age I expect it to turn out quite nicely.

Hi all,

I was wondering how this Blue 1/2 English Roo stacks up...I got him from a gal here locally who had to sell due to family health problems, I have a bunch of young up and coming babies from him and the hens he came with but she told me the hens were not as nice as him so I am not sure what to look for in the youngsters...any comments would be much appreciated...

That full crop makes him look kind of strange in many of those pictures. In the first he looks pretty English for sure. Pretty boy.
