Just wanted to let you know that, although they might be from a line of Lemon Cuckoos, they themselves arent Lemon Cuckoos and cant carry the Cuckoo gene unless they exhibit it because the Barring gene is dominant. Also, I like the looks of the second stag better then the first but I think they still need a little time to grow out.

Hi all, I would like to have your opinion on my 2 Buff Orpington roosters. I plan to use them as breeders, but the pullets are 4 months old, so it will be awhile before hatching any eggs. The roosters were given to me at Crossroad last fall, and I was told that they were hatched in June, and are directly from Greenfire Farm. They carry Lemon Cuckoo genes.

Roo-2 I noticed that he has very small amount of feather fuzz on his shanks.

Its lacing and all blue birds should have it.

It's referred to as lacing. Good blues should have crisp, distinctly laced feathers.

My Splash birds have it to a degree too. I noticed it in a few of my juvie pullets today.
