I was kinda hoping it's a he... I was told that it's too fat to not be a pullet. We'll either get an egg or a crow lol

Well in that case I guess you lucked out!

I have a couple little ones that I think are going to turn out to be alarm clocks, not the omelet factories I bought them for!

All of my chicks have wattles and combs already... Maybe I'll have back up alarms lol. I wanted some eggs tho  How old are they when they start cocka doodle dooing?

I have had little roos start trying at 4 weeks<<< YES 4 weeks.. and I ain't kiddin either. One of the advantages of raising them in the house in clear totes is you get to observe them more.

Mine haven't even made the first squawk. They peep peep tho. There's a roo somewhere close by, but they don't seem worried when they hear him crow (well, I hear him). They DO let out long peeeeeps from time to time. I kinda think that's a nervous peep. They do it when they hear my dogs bark or they hear lawn mowers.

Here are my two......boys?? They are 14 weeks old. Fred got his comb & waddle first, and had huge shanks, but Fiona just got bigger than him last week, her comb isn't as red as his though. How much longer until they crow? I haven't caught either of them trying yet. They are inbetween the peep and crow stage - kinda like a teenager. Fred is on the left, Fiona (Frank?) on the right.
