Post Pics Of Orps/ Orpingtons HERE

I will still breed for the broadest breast, broadest back and broadest head as the top three traits of importance. Then perfect the tails (which many Orps need) and perfect the color on my Buffs and Blues.

You know...you could write a children's book about angrey bird..the pictures are funny by themselves.. not sure how the story would go..he reminds me of a little cartoon character, foghorn leghorn, and angrey bird.

Horrible day here with a 106 degree high. Lost one of my younger Buff Sport cockerels. Ofcourse the best. Lost Boss Hogg. And 2 young Dun Splash White splits. Only one I really will miss is Boss. But here is my number 3 Black cock. And both Feran and his girls are okay and Barr Brady and his girls are okay.
I brought in my best White cock and his Buff Sport girl which they produced this fella.

there are pictures at different locations and websites that show a difference..people will try to tell you that english are small..from recent experience that is not true..the eggs were darned near baseball size..and let me just say jurrassic park.. they are very big birds..stunning in person..maybe somone here can do a side by side..of the best of both so you can see..i am also a big supporter of america version of the british origional.we do not have the most modern version which takes on a cochin look on this side of the pond... but a lot of them are similar.i can see where you could have a hard time with that.

this is borrowed from an overseas site to illustrate a typical english type blue and white that are being imported ....maybe somone can find US version pics..some of them look pretty close..some look a lot different. just my opinion but they are very round, lower to the ground it is more that they have a lot of stuffing underneath..american you typically see at least 2 inches of leg showing.some people are crossing these into american..the results are pretty impressive most times. these are english.

The APA says that you must be able to see the hock of the bird. In the British version you do not see the hock and sometimes you don't see the feet either. There are also other differences.
