I sent Don Chandler the info for getting the chocs into the APA SOP so you might want to work with him on this. He needs five people.

I think it will take a little bit before we can get the size down, as you probably know the standard weight in the English standard is around #4 for bantams.
 
They give you 5 years to get them right, shouldn't be a problem. The key is good blacks.

There is no time limit Don on how long it takes you. The minimum time is 5 years for the breeder affidavits...so the minimum time is 5 years. If it takes longer, it does not affect the process on the APA side. When it gets to the qualifying meet the judge will want to see the younger birds have better quality than the older birds. If the key is good blacks you should be able to do it in 5 years.The other key, as you know, is getting good breeders to work with you. Since this is the first choc color to be recognized by either the ABA or APA you will need to write the color description and I need to learn the color as well.
