Post Pics Of Orps/ Orpingtons HERE

I love this pullet who is now a hen. she won Best Variety in Ohio last Nov. I don't have her anymore as I sewed her into some one else's breeeding program. She had such really great lacing.

Here is some advice i recieved from an excellent breeder of blues to help increase good color in blues. I am going to put it to the test this year.

This is the quote.
. I would put splashes over blacks to hatch 100% blues and possibly if you have a few good coloured blue females a big typy splash male over them should produce lots more well coloured pullets

A friend of mine sent me this pic of one of his blues to show me really good lacing. Thought I would share it for those who are working on blues

this boy right here has turned out some really nice chicks for this year. I took a few cull cockerels to a auction and dropped them off last nite. They would have been 4 months old May 1st and I was stunned when I picked them up. they weighed about 8lbs and they were the small ones. The ones I am keeping are getting to a good place and soon I will be making lots of pics of them.

Hey I see tank treads and not chicken feet on one. You can't fool me. Those are tanks not chickens.

Just starting to get some boys starting to show what they are.

When I went to the Columbus OH show last fall I took two pics of Julie's nice Blue Hen. And the better angled pic did not turn out. So, this is the one I have from the show. Julie she is special!

BamaChicken,
That blue is just stunning. Now that is what a blue should really look like with that perfect lacing which is very difficult and then to have such good type on top of that. WOW!
