Yes.. the only time I like to find dead chicken in a box is when it is deep friend and has KFC written on the outside of the box.

Wish us luck! We put Mallory, the blue pullet that our other hens nearly scalped, back out on the roost tonight. The past few days she's been very loud on the back porch, clearly she's been bored and lonely in the brooder box. Her injury has healed completely and you would have to get an up close look to know that she had ever been injured. I just hope that in the morning the other girls don't hurt her again. If they do, poor Mallory will be banished to the brooder until we have time to cull the mean hens (they were on the chopping block anyway even before this incident) and we can try again once the pecking order is in complete disarray.
