Post Pics Of Orps/ Orpingtons HERE

Aggression in chickens is many times hereditary and cannot be totally eliminated. You might be able to do something to stop it for a time, but usually they are going to come back after you at some point. I breed for temperament..........this is the only way I have found to permanently solve this mean bird problem. I have never run across a mean Orp....even while judging. Some hatchery "Orps" have been mean.

I believe it! Both of the boys that got permanently rehabbed in a crock pot soaking for aggression to humans were not Orpingtons. One that got such a rehab for other reasons was. My God he was the tastiest one of the bunch.

Picture time. These kids are 16 weeks old.

Harry (aka Bigfoot or Big Doofus) An older hen relieved him of the feathers in the back of his neck.

Cleo. She's such a camera hog.

Bella is starting to really annoy me now, i have a 7 year old ex batt and she was the boss untill i got Bellas mother and her auntie, then she dropped 3 places in the pecking order, and Bella is trying so hard to be above her, like Bellas mother chases Ginger away and Bellas chases her away with her mother, then Bellas mother stops and Bella carries on chasing her, then Ginger realises its Bella and turns around and beats her up, then Bellas mam comes and le beats Ginger up and its so annoying! i wish my orpingotns would leave ginger alone they are so horrible to her!, it really annoys me!

Dragonlady, are these some of your birds?

YUP! My kids are all over this country now with super owners.
Sorry! I assumed. Silly me, I should have given credit! Won't happen again. Yes, they are from thedragonlady. She has allowed me to have some of her babies and I am honored to raise them and love them.

Though they were not "free" I still feel as though she has simply allowed me to "have" some of her babies. She is grand ma ma and we look after them closely.
