They are all looking very nice lynn. I was going to start my walks again.. since I have now managed to gain about 18lbs back on since winter started but it was just too freaking cold along with the wind.. I hope tomorrow is going to be nice

I LOVE my walks, and missed mine too Renie..too much ice and bad wind chills this year...today was really bad...Ive gained a few and Im mad at myself but once I start walking again..it will come right back off..

I am so ready for spring..

Amazing Photo Vickie, especially for NC...Thats why I cant use Nets ...you can see what would happen to them..Use Aframes and break up pens instead so hawks cant get a good running start at them...

Thanks Vickie ,They are meaty ..every day I go out they are an inch bigger.. the ice queens ..the king stayed in the house where it was warm..

Love that [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]monofilament..We are talking about it..trying to figure to get it up to the orchard..I think it would be peace of mind..that is the one strech I worry about..husbands freinds saw a snow owl on the cameras .they came out to check it out , was big as life sitting right in the pines..he was trying to figure an angle but the runway was too short ..I said he knows those juicy buff nuggets are in there..I like that pen because they cant get to them through the fence and branches..but that long run to the orchard needs something beside the fold out AFrames..[/FONT]

Thank you ! That was in the dark ages when you could enter with a major win. I think it made it much more fun to be able to pop up with a good one, and win. Now you'd better have a $250,000. advertising budget to get a win at Westminster.It's all very predictible now.

I did not know that you could exhibit at the Garden with major win, which I am sure made it possible for quality dogs to be exhibited. I started to show early 90's., and stopped two yrs. ago. Well, will be 2 yrs. next Aug.
Ohh, yes! I agree with you; unless one has big money back up, they have absolutely no chance of winning... I have 3 all breed judge friends ( rare ethical judges) who stay at our home when they judge in N.Ca., and am quite aware of the bad politics and financial games which are played. I have personally witnessed some very nasty, screaming fights which took place after the completion of the shows. I personally have been subjected to ugliness and utter cruelty due to the wins of my dogs. Often, I hired handlers to hide behind their skirts, watching the ring standing outside of the building. No, I am not one of the big breeders of the Pekingese world, far from it; but, did and still have gorgeous dogs. I've had more than enough of the ugliness of the show, and Pekingese world. Well, we are the most infamous breed; and, what goes on with our mother club, PCA, keeps the whole AKC world laughing with our never ending fights, and law suits galore!!
