Post Pics Of Orps/ Orpingtons HERE

Hi Galanie,

Would you please tell me what is a cushion, and where is it? I have a feeling that you are not referring to the cushions on your couch : )  How does a correct ear lobe should look like?

Thank you!
What I was referring to as a cushion is the feathery "dome" many have just at the tail. They should actually have a smooth line from the neck to the tip of the tail. She has a little hint of a bump just before the tail but not a bad one really.

Earlobes need to be red or pink. Hers is very light, though it's not the pearl white of a leghorn or something. She's laying right now and her comb is bright red but those earlobes have just a hint of pink in them.

Renie,
The parents are very nice wish I had a place for them right now I would probably bid on them. I am sure you will do fine in the auction with that quality you have there. Harry

Thank you Harry. I have many request from friends for these birds and I just don't have enough to go around.. Soo I opted to auction a pair off so as not to show favoritism.

I wish it wasnt so darned cold out..Almost the first day of spring and its freezing!! Not really normal temps all month, well below normal..it should be 50 and its 20.

I did find these little gems in the baby buff pen and a couple in another pen..so suprise..early easter eggs.

BFF'S

Nope , were going back in..she was going to bound over the other to get back inside

I couldnt beleive it..And really wasnt expecting it so soon, thats why I missed the first one..Not used to them starting so soon..I was getting used to the english birds starting a bit later on..My australorps start early like this ..Have some monster big Aussie eggs this year..sending some out this week for free to somone ..trimmed everyone so hoping they are all fertile for them..My husband bred some of the hens for monster egg laying and good size..I think they are going to be suprised when they unwrap them...I dont think anyone can rival Rogers baseballs but these are pretty close for a smaller bird.

Amazing birds even thou they still filling out everywhere..every day I go out they get bigger!
