Bama Chickens are eye candy every last one. Thank god for people like you who work so hard on these projects and are also easy to talk to. And Just love wilds of Pa's orps are great too. I see a lot of nice orps in here and this thread is a treat.
Hi to flockof4 too Lovin your 17 mo old Layla the australorps. I just posted a pic of my baby orps a ways back , lost one pic of 2 rather wide baby orps and a baby australorps just a bit narrower in between the 2 cute pic , Im trying to upload it again. the one baby blk orps so far looks like it will be a very nice bird , they were from the wilds of Pa to the wilds of NY.
Until I get it in here is my 2 year old australorps hope the orp breeders dont mind we join in here someday maybe we will have enough we can start our own thread. you can see the orp history in these birds. The australian production orpington. I will probably show this hen year shes turning into a butterball . I have to watch it the girls get fat real easy . she just came out of a broody spell felt sorry for her though it was infertle, I candled it at 18 days, nuttin. I was so looking forward to seeing her run around the pen with her baby.
I would love to pluck that tail feather that is just hanging there , but I wont.
I tried to get a pic of the top of her but the one second delay in the time I take a pic and the camera actually does it, jeees. Once in a while I get lucky and get a decent picture.
Heres one of the baby blk orps those three are all over the place and trying to get a decent pic is almost impossible the first time the flash went off they ducked and scattered and tails and feathers was all I got. they still have the messy feathers yet but getting nicer every day.
