The title of this thread is: the Lavender Orpington project ....

but I think it is more about 100% lavender, and the ongoing project.

I keep looking at the first page on this thread and see someone else's Lavs. Tony's lolol
Why can he post then and I can not? Are his called Lav Orpington Poject birds? lolol
I am just curious. Seeing that the OP doesn't say anything of what I can not say or post.
You seem to have it out for me. And I don't care how yuou like my birds. I just want to know whatis up KATY? IT can not be one man one bird and his 4 measly chicks? What is the real thing you got out for me?
Cause I have no ill feelings towards you.

Kathy who is Tony on the 1st page? Are those Lavs on the first page of this thread? I don't know nowadays what a Lavender is anymore. Since you wrote that thread and read what CHRIS09 says. I think it is a judgement call. And I am not a judge, But, I can ask one. IF you like?

I thank you Rodriguez. I am sorry for adding to any other thoughts except pure Orps that I can prove. And thank you all for pointing me where to ask.

It has nothing to do with lavender orps......lavender orps are orps...not mixed birds that you're trying to figure out what the heck they are. I just think people come to the orp thread to see nice orpingtons....not mixed birds.

Yeah I did not buy any of them. When my chicks came out, I thought they were splashes. And we had alot of talk what the experts think they can be yesterday with Chris on a thread you started about the possibilities of BBS producing the Lav gene. The final analysis is I would have to get the gene somewhere. And I am adding to the idea of where it came from. Harry is doing Lav Ameraucanas. It could be a bird that Harry had that got crossed with a Black Orp to make a Lav Split that looked more like an Ameraucana then Orp that did make it's way into the public. That would explain the tail on my birds dad. That bird was a late Aug of 2008 hatch from My Healthy Hatchery.
For sure your birds Kathy are not like mine. IF what Charlie said is true, I will be able to take my mutts to their mom and finalize IF I do have the same gene. I was more into finding out IF I do have that gene. Many other people had the same thoughts who wer into the genetics. And I do like to know. I can say then I am a full member of the Lavender PROJECT. I think I can post any Lavs I get from Harry here. Is that right? And for sure these that I have that have this look are light years behind everyone who has what you have. But, I am still happy with my mutts. And am into making more from the same duo. YEAH for the BUS!

KATY mine are in the PROJECT phase. Give me a year.

Kathy the chick was all yellow the day it was hatched. And is now noticeably changing to a blue. Look at it's tail feathers. 4 days ago there were no blue feathers

please forgive me for this pic. but it better shows the color change

again I want to let you know I never planned on having any lavender or self blue birds. These guys are appearing and like to know IF this is a LAV gene I am seeing?
