Ok I"m posting a lot here.
First, these three chicks are supposed to be white. I'm not entirely sure. They are feathering in almost splash. Opinions?

Then this is one of four polish/orp crosses I have. Each one has a wee little mohawk. They are too cute.

Can you find the blue?

He and the other three blacks with white bands all came from Claudia. I'm very happy with how they are coming along. The blue and one of the blacks is male the other two look like females.

Just got the Buff chicks from Tonka out back into a permanant pen attached to the pole barn.

Question. I just hatch orp eggs from gumpsgirl and they are adorable!! One I would say is definitely blue because it is already that pretty blue color. the others are very dark almost black with yellowish under chin and ears and chest. So are these ALL splash?? Or just unable to tell until they start feathering? The color is similar to the chicks pictured above close to the top of this page.

Edited to add.... Afte looking back through some previous posts maybe I have one splash and 5 blues???? Who knows??!!!

Splash chicks will be a yellowish color or white. Your darker chicks could be either a darker blue or black. If you can post some pictures, we can probably tell you what color you have.

Here is a photo of a splash chick and 2 blacks...maybe it will help.

OK here are pics of my chicks. The one I thought must be blue I guess is a splash. He looked like that beautiful blue grey color, but I do see yellowish down underneath. These are suppose to only be blue or splash since that is all that gumpsgirl has so I'm assuming that the rest are blue. They look very similar to the blacks above??

ETA - these were taken with my iphone so color isnt the best. Thanks for your input. PLEASE SAY THEY ARE BLUE!! Thats what I want!

It does look like a self blue or Lavender
