Thanks but you sure didn't offend me any!! I was just feeling the animosity and conflict brewing so hated to but in at that point with an off topic subject, but did anyway. I completely understand about the molting thing. My roo who seems to have been molting for months now, one piece of his anatomy at a time, is just about to get his tail back in and now has a very sparsely covered are on the back of his neck. Guess next weeks fair show is out but hopefully he'll be better by the next few. I'll pass on the return trip to ILL. The 12 hours one way on Friday and return trip on Sunday (with my 8yo and 2.5yo) is one of those trips I only care to make occasionally!! Good luck though!!

I need opinions, if you don't mind. I think my little cockerel's eye is too light. What say you guys? The image below was taken in natural light so there is no flash in his face:

I think he is a bit young still. And they will darken up. I have pics of my Blues that had that greener look and they all darkened up. I only have one lite eye boy, who is still dark enough to keep, but yours will get darker & browner in my opinion. Nice color!

Here is one of my Blacks who has the same color and close to the same age. I am not too worried.

I have a boy just like that who is about three months old. I just love him and would love to use him for breeding. I hope the eyes darken up.

He gets to stay even if his eye does not darken just as a pet because I love his demeanor. He is such a gentleman.

Mary - His eyes are too light. I honestly don't think they will darken enough to the desired color of nearly black. Of course I am not the expert. This is JMO.

Kathy - Thanks !! I'm pretty thrilled with them.
