Jeremy I am not sure which pic I like better? The little Blue Splash cockerel or your avatar.
I know there seems to be a great interest with Splashes in both Joy's and Julie's boys. Nice to see you will be able to make some great looking splashes down the road.
Keep the good luck going with yours.

lildinkem, L0L! I was told my smile looks plastic today.

That little splash is the only one I received from Joy, I'm thinking I have 7 blues of various shades and 3 blacks.

I haven't gotten around to taking pictures to help me determine gender yet, there's just so many of them... and when they get running around it's hard to keep up!

I can tell Jeremy, you were sayin cheeeeeeeeeezzzzzeee. lolololol

From the birds posted on both orp threads, it is nice to have a splash. I hear alot of people wanting them. I have just one Bamma Splash pullet, who resides with her sibs under one of the apple trees. Hope to take at least three Bamma's to Lebanon IN Show in Oct. One of our English fanatics, who gave me my Lav project Orps, does not want me showing the Blue cockerel. He said to not take any unnecessary risks with him. He really likes him. Most of my breeding birds are in molt condition or have been used by the cocks they run with. I may show Flozelle. He is my 3rd best Black cock bird. And that may be it for the adults. I am taking near 10 Buffs. Oldest is the same age as the Bamma 3. I am being encouraged to bring some of my longer tailed 5 month ole Black cockerel/pullets to just get an APA judges eye to tell me what am I doing. lolol
Paul Montieth is the judge and I will be very interested how everyone does. I believe he is the judge at next years Crossroad Show, (Orpington Nationals). I have been told it is always a great idea to get your young birds in front of a judge that you will see regularly in future shows, when their young. So next year he will see, hopefully, the same birds after they finish up. The Blue cockerel, I call L A R S is 1/2 from Julie's line who's daddy I call DOC. He too will go for Paul to look at. He and his younger Blue brother I like alot. They both look like their handsome daddy. And I have six 2 month ole Black cockerels who feel just like them (tanks). I really like to show more mature birds. BUT, the new philosophy is to help fill cages to encourage others to show and support the hobby. Hope that makes sense?
