Post Pics Of Orps/ Orpingtons HERE

I think more members of the UOC do not show. And there is nothing wrong with that. I am in the heart of the poultry country. Alot of great shows to go to. However IF I lived up in the mountains hours away, you would'nt see me at many or any shows. I totally understand that many sadly can not enjoy this part of the hobby.

I would love to get a pair or trio of these birds someday, they are gorgeous.

WOW, Bill, that is quite a story! You sure are blessed! Gee, that truly is a wonderful thing that breeder did, for sure! I am so happy for you that you were able to get them. Sounds like clubs for your breeds are a good thing. Sure glad I joined. I am looking forward to the comradeship.

When I joined there were only one or two ther black breeders to choose from. Now we are blessed with the Joy's and Julie's lines to ad and really making some neat birds.
And I was lucky. The internet has made clubs like this a better and more enjoyable experience. Back before the internet you needed mentors who knew who to get breeds like these. Again, there I almost prefer that era and style of getting good breeding stock. It was friends that helped me get my Whites, who are free ranging in the brooder room. Those are great friends to have.

Hi all, looking for someone to give me some guidance on this bantam blue orp chick. This is the first blue that I have hatched with this much color. Has anyone else had any experience with this?I have had them with little white tips on the end of wing feathers but never this much, I also noticed that it's legs are mostly white with some slate/black toward the tops and it's beak is white/pink and not dark. I'm lost with this one...

HenThymes: Maybe a splash? I would let this little one grow some more

jim: Your setting the bar pretty high aren't ya? I would be lucky to crack the top ten in any variety next year with all that everyone is bringin to the show. There will be Don, Terry, and Doug. And those are just the ones I know have killer Buffs. I plan to bring some birds and kick back and enjoy. When you have no expectations you will be a winner.
