Post Pics Of Orps/ Orpingtons HERE

As you yourself said in a previous post (that you deleted) .....

I also suggest joining the Orp Club. It not only supports the club, but the breed as well....
ESPECIALLY, if (as you state) looking for "Exhibition," stock or wanting to show.

Bill that black you just posted that I won't even try to spell his name may be your best black yet. What about a frontal view.

Thank you Julie. He was mistaken as a pullet for the longest time. It seems those who slide under the radar turn out the best,

I'll get a few more pics of him today

I have had several that were questionalble on sex for a long time and I find the slower to mature the bigger the bird. I have one black cockerel now that 5 months old and his type is looking fantastic. I would show him next week if I had registered him. i may show him in Newnan in Feb. Let him get another month of growth on him.

Here is my roo. These pictures werre taken when he was approximately 6 months old. I don't have any more current. Please critique him. Don't soft pedal it. Tell it straight. Thank you.

I have my fingers crossed with this boy. I like him so far. But at 6 months old alot can still not happen to knock him down a peg.

I am looking forward to hearing how you do. I think I read that you are taking Hoss, I really like to see some Blues do well at these shows. I like Hoss from what I can see in the pics. I think you can take Champion English. How many are showing? Should be alot of fun. Hope you do well!

gotziecat, I am no judge. From what I see, I like his comb. He seems to have decent type compared to many Lavs I seen. I don't see any issues with color. Ofcourse he could use a little width and depth. most all of our birds, APA or UK could use more of each. He looks like a good breeder to use. just take him to a big typeeeee Black pullet/hen and cull for size and type. Color should not be an issue for anyone doing lavs. Build the birds then paint on the good Lav color. Good luck with him and your Lavs.

Just went out and attempted to take some pics of the boys. I have two Blacks growing out in the pen with Leni. And one is Tralfamadore the other is DeBussy. Tralf is a bit bigger. neither are as big as Leni. But, their just about 6 months old. So, i still have to give them some time. Finally got an egg from their pen today.

Here are pix of the two Black boys in this pen. I am trying to get you Julie a front view or top view. Tralf is a weasel and only like to be on the other side of the pen. Camera shy I guess
