The beginning phases for something completely different!

Feels like an Orpington

She has that look of an Orpington.
But, how will she finish out?
Still more to come where she is from.

how old is that girl?

when should i be able to start seeing signs of gender on my four three week olds?

Alot will depend on the variety. My White can be hard to tell for months. I just go by the comb. This is a 4 week ole. I am guessing she is a she. But, I have been wrong many times.

Okay... I was just wondering if anyone noticed that when their orps run they hold their wings in such a manner that they make you think of little dumpy women lifting up their skirts to free up their legs as they run... lol... I don't have my large orp flock, but I'll never forget this imagery as they ran away around the corner of the house so they could get to the dumped seed under the bird feeders.

I have this chick that is 6 weeks old. When I went to the gender/breed section in the beginning it was thought to be a gold or red sexlink. Now as she has feathered out someone suggested she may be a BO. I thought I would come to the sorce. We have a bo/Ameraucana cross that she is the exact same color as. She came from the assorted pullets bin at the feed store and they get from Ideal, if that helps.

Here is Goldie at 6 weeks.

babyrnic - she looks like a buff rock because she has yellow legs. She kind of looks a bit mottled though, so I'm not sure.
