Yeah, as I said...flawed. The one Pullet is prime featured. I'm using these to make a BBS Plymouth Rock flock here in New England. Some even have Rock features already so looks like I've only 4 years to go!

It's a Orp picture thread. I posted some pretty to me Orps. Yeah, the one is a keeper...she's perfect and I've seen the parent flock. They were nice, regal in mature form, and yet again I say she (yet to be named) pullet with full blue to her comb is a real breeder....she also grew near as much as the cockerel.

Has anyone ever crossed Barred Rocks with Buff Orps? I am combining my 2 flocks and wonder what the outcome may look like. Anyone have any idea?

Mine are just Hatchery babies, but they are so friendly. Here they are joining me for an evening beer in the yard.

One of the ladies is determined that she will be able to do something about the Raven next time it comes around.

These are my first in a over 25 years and I sure am having fun.

especially Love your 2nd pic of your orp resting upon the weapon..

When i take any weapons out here the chickens all learned to head to the coops cause they know it will be cracking soon.. I can see your orps are gonna be well protected...

I think the breeder must have bred blue and splash together alot to get this style of colour... there are 3 hens and 4 roos... the hens are the light blue(in oppose to splash white), I may hang onto them to see how they fill out and cross them on blacks to improve colour if the body is there. so far they seam supper beefy and docile which is a nice change from marans haha.
