It is my understanding that her Whites are from Cecil Moore lines. As are the east coast White Orpingtons.

Steve Jones and Terry Britt also have some nice White Orpingtons. Steve could not attend Crossroads and Terry was a judge and barred from showing per show rules. The best I have ever seen in White Orpingtons were Terry Britt's birds. Best Buffs were also Terry's. Glad we have his breeding in our Buff Orps!

I wish i could remember the one orignal breeder of some of our whites but my mind just cant remember it may come to me soon, , i do know they haven't shown birds for some years.
Aveca some of our blacks have some Allen Amiril blood in them which he does not show any more..not sure if the spelling is right on his last name.

really nice lavanders..I was talking to Bob Whitney and he said a lot of the old timers are retiring from showing and a lot of old champion lines are kind of falling to the wayside and even just dying off and he was thrilled to see these really nice blk orps there ...there were quite a few blks there ..only a few buffs...Bob has shown his australorps and langshans all over east coast..last year his aussie hen was grand champion at every show she was at from maryland to ohio to virginia, mass..ect.. his langshan pullet did just as well in asiatic..every month thier pictures were all over poultry press for winning this and that...Bob was just in love with your blk pullet..He said how many did you have to decide on to pick her for show.......I said 1..he just couldnt beleive that...you usually have to look through at least 20...He said tell Jody that somewhere down there shes got a hen that might be a top bird..and he said classic, big, tough to deduct points from cockeral..we've been freinds for quite a few years now and I never dreamed that something I was showing would be sitting right underneath his hen over on the glory row.....now heres the funny part and your going to love this...when you go to these shows, a lot of the east coasters have these really fancy shipping boxes that they either had made for them with bars and special sliding opening at the top..all stained and varnished..right under the tables they put thier fancy boxes..know what I had? a giant toilet paper box..I was the only one on the row with a giant toilet paper box...with nice big holes in it..I carried my champion out proudly in his big toilet paper box..awards on the top of the box..gonna have to have husband make me a couple of those nice boxes..so I dont have to humiliate my bird ..a couple people thought that was really funny..and said at least you could have gotten a plain box.. I said I couldnt find one big enough for him.

Lynne, it is so nice to hear feedback on our birds from someone with so much experience. I am sure some of our birds would do well in shows, but I have no desire or time to do shows. I'm just thrilled to hear back from folks like you who enjoy the opportunity.

I was cracking up when I read about the toilet paper box. That boy was proud, no matter what box you had him in.

. You are so funny though. I may have to hatch you some orps and pay you a visit up there so we can finally meet in person. I bet we'd have a great time talking chickens.

That's great! You might start a new trend in poultry carriers.

Here are two pics of my daughters Roo. They are not the greatest pictures but from looking at them I want an honest opinion about him? Was thinking of using him for breeding just not sure about the light wings. I took these pictures quick just a little bit ago to show a friend his huge size. She thought her BO pullet that was 6 mos was a roo till I showed her him. (he is 8 mos old) Oh dont mind the daughters face he had just pooed on her
