Some days he looks like an Orp yesterday he looked like an Aussie.
I plan on going to Greenville, maybe Bloomington. Because the Columbus IN show is on the same weekend as the Greenville OH show I can't go to it. And there is also a show up in Michigan. Why they have 3 APA Shows on the same weekend is not good for the hobby. Their all within a 100 miles of each other. I hope to go to the Columbus OHIO show in the fall and our Indiana State Fair for sure. I try to get to 5 or 6 shows a year.

i put my aussie rooster and the blk orp hen together...it has been 2 months now and not one fertile egg...he largly ignores her and the feeling seems mutual..she goes out around the big pen scratching , and he paces the fence wanting out with the old egg layers that we have that are a combo of show slash hatchers crosses...
going to put her back over with mr softie...at first i thought well shes a big girl but then thought , my mother had a great big aussie very tame rooster and a couple seabright hens, they were so tiny that no one ever expected that one of them would hide behind some bales of hay and come out with three aussie + seabright cross babies..but she did..

Yeah might be time to put him on lay off status. I talked to a friend today and we both have a couple of cocks who are going to get fired since they aren't doing their jobs.
Nice thing about Harold is he takes no BS from older hens and will go get er done!
